Are you Savage, or a Gentleman?

While every man should know how to fend for themselves, “couples cooking” is an even greater skill. If you’ve been paying attention at all, I’ve shown you some easy ways to make life easier for yourself. However, I’ve also been making life easier for your significant other and your relationship. Below are just two of the many reasons why the couple that cooks together stays together. Plus, a little recipe to get the ball rolling.

Learn More About Your Partner

Let’s face it; no relationship is fun when you know every damned thing about one another. They say that spontaneity is the spice of life, so it’s only appropriate to use cooking as a means of it. When doing couples cooking, any couple can find out all about the other. From tastes to preferences over white and red meat. You’ll even be able to share memories of cooking with family, favorite recipes, and almost anything else. Most importantly, you will learn how well you work together as a team. Sure, you could do that on any other date, but isn’t it more fun to just stay home and cook?

Cheap and Fun Date Nights

Speaking of dates, when a couple decides to cook at home, turn it into a full-day event. Start by deciding what you want to cook, then go and shop for groceries together. This way you both can choose between preferred brands and even see how you’d end up managing finances should the relationship progress. After the meal is over, don’t forget to clean the dishes together. Yes, gentleman, that means grabbing the sponge and helping. It’s a much more inclusive date than just going to a restaurant.

Couples Cooking: First Recipe

I don’t remember exactly when my girlfriend and I started cooking together, but it is one of our favorite things to do as a couple. We’ve cooked just about everything, and it’s really been a great thing for us. Below is one of the first ones we did, something she found, and probably my favorite thing we (she) make together. And the dishes are minimal to non-existent.
